  • Thanks for your interest in the Garfield & Roosevelt RARE Connections Program!

    • Connections is a year long program supporting a more inclusive and connected school community. 
    • Together, a diverse group of 14 students (Crew) make friends, do fun activities and field trips.
    • That same group then leads activities for other students promote a sense of belonging in their schools. 
    • Crew members develop leadership skills, make new friends, and leave a lasting impact on the school community.
    • Students earn 60 Service hrs upon completion!

    GARFIELD ATTENDANCE

    REQUIREMENTS

    Semester 2 2024-25 SPS Yr ; February 25th - June 3rd, 2025

    • Program Orientation - Tues February 25th, 2025. 4-6pm
    • Weekly Meetups -  every Tuesday 4-6pm at GHS Rm115b.
    • 1 Field Trip - Weds February 26th, 2025. 3pm - 6pm
    • 3 Spring Break Field Trips - Weds to Fri April 16 - 18, 2025. 10am - 3:30pm.

    Semester 1 2025-2026 SPS Yr 

    • Plan and facilitate up to 4 student led activities (funded) with a diverse group of 12-20 school peers. Activities are planned as a team (Crew).
    • You will also need to meet on a regular basis with your crew to plan. 
    •                                                                 ROOSEVELT ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS

      Semester 2, 2024-25; February 20th - June 5th, 2025

    • 1 Mid Winter Break Field Trip - Thurs February 20th, 2025. 10am - 3:30pm

    • Program Orientation -  Thurs February 27th, 2025. 4-6pm

    • Weekly Meetups - every Thurs 4-6pm at RM 110
    • 3 Spring Break Field Trips - Weds to Fri April 16 - 18, 2025. 10am - 3:30pm

      Semester 1, 2025-26
